Biography

Aisha Bonner Cozad received her Ph.D. in 2012, MSW in 2005 from Howard University, and her BS in Special Education from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 1996. She worked with SPMI adolescents in group home settings for eight years before returning to school for her MSW. Her current research interests include health care disparities for older minority adults, poverty, an aging population’s impact on public policy, and technology utilization with aging populations, specifically through telemedicine interventions. For the last 16 years, Dr. Bonner Cozad has worked at AARP, the leading 50+membership/advocacy organization, and is currently a Senior Research Advisor.
