Biography
Toriano Davis is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Architecture at Howard University. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree from Howard and is a registered architect in both the District of Columbia and Bermuda, where he was born and raised. With nearly 30 years of experience in the Washington, DC area, Toriano currently serves as an Associate Principal at Fentress Architects, where he works on a wide range of local and national projects of varying sizes and scopes.
His expertise spans multiple building types, including museums, courthouses, commercial offices, retail spaces, and both multi-family and single-family residential projects. Toriano has significant experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary teams, utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) throughout various phases of construction. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA). Additionally, he is featured in the Great Diverse Designers Library.
