Samuel Romy Vilmeau is an Academic and Career Advisor in the Department of Undergraduate Studies. He earned his Associate of Arts degree from Miami Dade College and his Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science from Barry University. He continued his graduate education at Barry, studying Kinesiology and Human Performance, where he served as a graduate assistant in the Biomechanics Laboratory and taught Kinesiology and Essentials of Exercise Physiology labs.
While in graduate school, Mr. Vilmeau worked at Miami Dade College as a Success Coach, an experience that deepened his interest in academic advising and holistic student support. His research has been presented at the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Greater New York Chapter, where he received multiple awards.
A proud first-generation and immigrant college graduate, Mr. Vilmeau is committed to helping students navigate the challenges of higher education. He believes that success is rarely achieved alone and strives to be a part of every student's support network. His advising approach emphasizes collaboration, equity, and personal growth.
