Biography
Sadia Yasmin is currently a Lecturer for the English Department at Howard University who specializes in law and literature, Victorian literature, fan/audience theory, first year composition, and writing center pedagogy. Their creative interests include nonfiction, microfiction, and FanFiction. They graduated from Georgetown University with a Masters of Arts in English in 2021 and, prior to that, graduated from John Jay College (CUNY) in 2017 with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice. Their current research focuses on prison memoirs that are emerging from Guantanamo Bay and other U.S. military black sites.
