Ruth Tamrat
Biography
Dr. Ruth Tamrat is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Howard University. She completed medical school and Internal Medicine residency at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and cardiology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. She is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, as well as with the National Board of Echocardiography and the Board of Nuclear Cardiology. She was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology in 2021. She has a particular clinical and research interest in women’s cardiovascular health, particularly pregnancy and heart disease.
