Dr. Gamble is the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Program Director and Director Restorative Dentistry at the Howard University College of Dentistry (HUCD). He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University in 1986. A 30-year Air Force career followed, during which Dr. Gamble earned a two-year Certificate in Comprehensive Dentistry from the Naval Dental School (1993), and Diplomate status with the Federal Services Board of General Dentistry (1996) and the American Board of General Dentistry (2004). Col Gamble served as the director of the Air Force’s largest 12-month AEGD program from 2010-2016, was inducted into the International College of Dentists in 2013, and retired from active duty in 2016 as the Air Force’s senior AEGD Program Director. Dr. Gamble was appointed AEGD Director at Howard in October 2016, Interim Chair of Restorative Dentistry in July 2019, and Director of Restorative Dentistry in 2021. Dr. Gamble achieved Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2020 and the American College of Dentists in 2022, and was promoted to Associate Professor (Tenured) in 2023.
