Biography
Dr. Rajni Goel is a Professor and former Chairperson of the Information Systems and Supply Chain Management Department in the School of Business at Howard University. Dr. Goel served as a Fulbright-Nehru Scholar in India, conducting research and assisting in curriculum development in the area of Cyber security. Having assisted with the establishment of the Howard University Cyber-Security Education and Research Center (CERC), she serves as its Director, building partnerships and programs with industry-government-academia partnerships. Dr. Goel served as Cyber-Security Speaker in Malaysia as part of the U.S. Department of State’s International Information Programs and participates as a panelist discussing the Business of Cyber Security, diversity of thought, workforce development, and the need for a robust Cyber-Security ecosystem. She serves as Co-Director of the Chair Leadership Academy and as Summer Academy Faculty Scholar Coach. Dr. Goel's research interests include cyber-risk management, behavioral aspects of cybersecurity, privacy concerns in Social Media, supply chain security, railway security, enterprise security and curriculum development. She holds a Ph.D. in IT (focus on Information Security), an M.S. (Mathematics), and a B.A. (Mathematics) and began her career as a High School Mathematics teacher.
