Biography
Oral W. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aviation, a Master of Business Administration in Management, and a Juris Doctor (Law) degree. He is an Asst. Professor of Ethics in the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences at The Howard University, Washington, DC. At two previous institutions and various flight schools, Prof. John taught Professional Aviation and/or served as a Certificated Flight Instructor where he successfully led many students in becoming licensed pilots.
Over the past 32 years, Prof. John has served the United States Department of Defense in numerous functions from a U.S. Marine, Logistician, Program Manager, and Senior Naval Officer. He continues to serve in the U.S. Navy (Reserves) as a Naval Aviation Maintenance Officer.
Mr. John is a devout member of the First Seventh-day Adventist Church in Washington, DC where he serves as Public Affairs and Religious Liberty Leader and a Sabbath School teacher of the Youth. He also serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Allegheny East Conference Corporation since 2013.
