Biography

Mikeisha has served in academic settings for nine years with roles including admissions counselor, tutor, academic advisor and supervisor. She realized her passion for education while obtaining her Associate of Arts in General Studies from Montgomery College and Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of the District of Columbia. She was offered a position as an assistant in the advising office at Montgomery College while pursuing her education. Her observation of how students sacrificed, persevered and worked tirelessly until they achieved the degrees they sought inspired her to grow within the education field.

In her current role of academic advisor at Howard University, Mikeisha is responsible for the successful matriculation of undergraduate students in the School of Communications.
