Biography

Michelle D. Lockley, Executive Assistant I in the Department of Real Estate Development and Capital Asset Management at Howard University.  Ms. Lockley graduated from St. Cecelia’s Academy in 1977.  She attended the Washington School for Secretaries (WSS) in September of 1977.  After receiving her certification from WSS, she became employed with Howard University Hospital in 1979.  For more than 20 years, Ms. Lockley worked in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and was elevated to the position of Residency Coordinator for the Ob/Gyn Residency Postgraduate Training Program.  Her experience and ingenuity were vital in the attainment of full accreditation status that was received by the Ob/Gyn Postgraduate Training Program. During her tenure at the hospital, Ms. Lockley received many awards for Employee of the Month, as well as Employee of the Year.  In 2005, Ms. Lockley transferred to the University where she worked in the Department of Capital Projects.  In 2009, the Department of Real Estate Development and Capital Asset Management was established.
