Biography
Maryetta Andrews-Sachs, LICSW, CGP, FAGPA has been in practice since earning her MSW at the University of Chicago in 1968. She has been on the faculty of the National Group Psychotherapy Institute for over 45 years, having done the intensive group therapy training program there. She has served as both Dean and Chair of that faculty. She served on the Washington, DC School Board for 8 years, as well as the Chair of the Faculty Clinical Council. She was President of the Mid-Atlantic Group Psychotherapy Society and continues to be an active member. She is an AGPA Fellow (American Group Psychotherapy Association) and continues to serve as Co-Chair of the AGPA Online Institute Committee as well as on the Group Foundation for Advancing Mental Health Board. She was the Chair of the Affiliates Societies Assembly, composed of all of the Group Societies' presidents and other representatives from around the US. She has been teaching the Group Therapy course at Howard's School of Social work since 2017.
