Biography
Dr. Maru Etta-Nkwelle is an Associate Professor of finance, international business and economics at Howard University School of Business. She teaches in the executive, graduate and undergraduate programs. She has led student study tours and consulting projects to China, Ghana and South Africa and was awarded a couple of grants and served as Project Manager for the U.S. Department of Education’s Business and International Education grant program to internationalize the business curriculum. Prior to Howard, she served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Alliance Health Benefit Plan and as Financial Analyst for the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Africa Venture Capital Project. Her research has primarily been in the area of international finance and economic development and has published articles in journals such as: Applied Financial Economics; Journal of the Academy of Finance; and Journal of Applied Business and Economics.
