Biography

Kwasi Kwakye-Nuako, Ph.D., is an associate professor of World Religions at Howard University School of Divinity. He has been a member of the Divinity faculty since 2000. He teaches World Religions, Introduction to the Study of Religion, African Christianity and African Indigenous Religion. Before joining the School of Divinity faculty, Dr. Kwakye-Nuako served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Denver. He also held pastorates in Ghana, Iowa, Canada and Washington, D.C. His published articles cover the vast subject of African religions.  He earned his Ph.D. from the Iliff School of Theology and the University of Denver in 1999, M.A. from the Iliff School of Theology, M.A.T.S. from McCormick Theological Seminary, and a diploma in theology from the University of Ghana, Legon.
