Dr. Kelechi C. Fluitt is clinician, educator, researcher, mentor, consultant and moderator with over 15 years of experience in leadership at the higher education level. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Winston- Salem State University, Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University and her PhD in Counseling Psychology from Howard University. A former Miss Winston-Salem State University, Dr. Fluitt has served in leadership at every level during her academic matriculation with a culminating role as the Graduate Trustee on the Howard University Board of Trustees. Dr. Fluitt was appointment by the President of the American Psychological Association to serve on two committees Presidential Taskforce on Trauma and Grief and Presidential Taskforce on Representation Matters Film Project.
Additionally, Dr. Fluitt currently serves on two boards, is the PTA President at one of her children's schools and serves as the Co-Chair of the Educational Council for the City of Bowie. A clinician by training she has provided individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, supervision to doctoral trainees and mental health outreach.
