Biography

Dr. Jaradat is an Assistant Professor in Geotechnical Engineering. He holds a PhD degree in Civil Engineering from Stony Brook University. Prior to Joining Howard, he worked for Jacobs Engineering Group and Virginia Tech. Dr. Jaradat is a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) in the State of Virginia. Dr. Jaradat research focuses on enriching geotechnical engineering with resilient design utilizing the fundamentals of geomechanics. towards this goal, he utilizes multiscale experimental and numerical techniques. Among others, Dr. Jaradat is expert in advanced laboratory testing and discrete element modeling of geomaterials.

At Howard, the geomaterials research laboratory (GeoRL) focuses on development and design of resilient infrastructure against different geoenvironmental conditions.
