FURKAN DOGAN, DMD

Biography

Dr. Dogan is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University College of Dentistry. She is also medical staff at Howard University Hospital and INOVA Fairfax hospital.

She received her first dental degree from Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry, Istanbul, Turkey in 2002. She then came to the states and received her American Dental Degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts in 2009. 

Dr. Dogan completed a Dental Anesthesiology Residency Program at NYU Langone Hospitals (formerly known as NYU Lutheran Medical Center), Brooklyn, NY in 2012 and an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Howard University Hospital, Washington, DC, in 2020.

She is a double board certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon & Dentist Anesthesiologist; Diplomate of American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and American Dental Board of Anesthesiology; Fellow of American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons; Member of Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Northern Virginia Dental Society, Virginia Dental Association and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Dogan immensely enjoys teaching the dental students and surgery residents, both clinically and didactically.
