Danica E. White serves as the First Year Engagement Librarian and is the library liaison for the Education, English, and Psychology departments at Howard University. In this capacity, she works closely with undergraduate students, helping them effectively navigate and utilize the comprehensive resources offered by Howard University Library.
Originally from Kansas, Danica holds a Master’s in Library Science from Emporia State University. Her expertise lies in student engagement and undergraduate research, with a focus on enriching the library experience for diverse student populations. She has published articles examining Black students' perceptions of libraries at predominantly white institutions and advocating for enhanced research support for BIPOC undergraduates.
