Biography

For over 25 years, Dr. Evers has strengthened higher education institutions and system infrastructures to provide engaging, student-centered learning environments for improving student success and retention. She has experience in higher education program supervision and operation as well as completion of a doctorate of education specifically related to higher education administration. Her work experience includes serving as an executive Student Affairs Officer at various higher education institutions. Working in these positions allowed her to work jointly with students, faculty, and staff, the board of trustees, and community leaders to create and maintain climates that foster student learning and development while enhancing a strong sense of community for students. She enjoys the responsibility of advocating for students and staff members within the Division of Student Affairs and advising on topics related to student development and engagement.
