Biography

Senior Director, Faculty Relations in the Office of the Provost - Faculty Affairs.  

•Serves as a primary point of contact for faculty concerns related to workplace issues that are reported to the Office of the Provost and/or an Office of the Dean.

•Partners with deans, department chairs, and faculty governance bodies to proactively foster engagement, enhance workplace culture, and identify appropriate measures for University leadership to address faculty concerns.

•Functions as a faculty relations policy resource, ensuring compliance with applicable Employee Handbook policies, Faculty Handbook, University policies, and academic personnel regulations.

•Assists faculty employees with alternative dispute resolution and faculty advocacy efforts, while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and academic governance principles

•Performs as a trusted resource for faculty and University leadership to support the fair and transparent resolution of workplace concerns.

Pugh is a career HR professional practitioner since 1988 who has worked at Howard University, The George Washington University, and in a variety of industries in various corporate, regional, and international organizational roles. He is a senior human resources professional and academic with practical, managerial, and executive experiences in the areas of leadership development; employee and labor relations; organizational development; performance management; succession planning; and talent diversity, acquisition, and management.
