Biography

Carrie Hackney, serves two roles for the Howard University Libraries system. She is the Director for Library Administration and Operations, as well as the Divinity Librarian. Carrie earned her B.A. from Howard in Music Education and her Masters in Library Science from the University of Maryland. As Director of Administration, she assists the Executive Director of the University Libraries and leads the University Libraries when needed.

In addition to her administrative duties, Carrie also provides assistance and library instruction to support the Master of Divinity, Master of Arts (Religious Studies) and Doctor of Ministry Degree programs in the School of Divinity.
