Biography

Candy Wongsam has served as the inaugural Director of Student Housing and Commercial Portfolio Management on the Real Estate Development and Capital Asset Management team since of May 2022.   She has over 30 years of property management experience, both residential and commercial real estate.   She has managed portfolios of all ages, classes, and styles of architecture.  She specializes in operational efficiency, physical asset maintenance and facilities management.  The portfolio includes oversight of our 3rd party management partners on 10 on-campus and 2 off-campus residence halls that include over 5300 beds in over 3000 units. 

Since then, the department has development and implemented the 1st Mandatory Student Housing Orientation in 2022 and increased the audience in 2023 to include ALL students living in Howard University residence halls, not just first time in college students.
