Audrey is a former attorney, compliance consultant, and policy advisor who navigated a late-career change to focus on writing, research, and development after witnessing first-hand some of the profound legal, ethical, and policy challenges associated with the implementation of data-driven, AI-enabled R&D environments. Extensive experience handling federal, state, and local funding opportunities and instruments, including grants, contracts, statements of work, MSAs, RFPs, RFQs.

Advised across industries, roles, and functions, including telecommunications, software development, legal, risk assessment, regulatory, intellectual property, development (source code, open-source compliance, patent protection, infringement detection).

Professional experience combined with a deep understanding of critical communications infrastructure facilitated the ability to serve as a Bridge, connecting technical knowledge personnel, project management teams, and key subject matter experts to facilitate the development of fast, accurate, and precise data-aligned compliance approaches and related metrics.

With professional experience spanning a range of roles, acquired deep insight into some of the most critical legal, ethical, and policy considerations surrounding the development, financing, and commercialization of advanced and emerging technology. A solutions-oriented professional with the ability to perform long range risk assessment and simultaneously coordinate with relevant teams, decision makers, and stakeholders to rapidly and efficiently implement solutions.  Deep familiarity with commercialization processes and timelines, with extensive experience managing high-risk analyses, including M&A due diligence, vendor risk, supply chain management, compliance engineering, soft audits.
