Benny Gomes (Lighting Designer), in a 43-year career, has lit over 450 productions for steelpan, choirs, theatre, the dance and industrials in Trinidad and Tobago, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe and the US. Included in his work are 9 premiers of Nobel Prize winner Derek Walcott’s plays, the Home State Ball and the inauguration ceremonies of President Barack Obama. Most recently he designed the Department of Theatre Arts' productions of Urinetown and the Spring Dance Concert. Mr. Gomes is member of the United Scenic Artists, Local 829.
