Sandra D. Osborne, RDH, MS, is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Dental Hygiene. Ms. Osborne earned the Master of Science in Dental Hygiene Education from the University of Maryland (UMB); the Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from UMB; and the Certificate in Dental Hygiene from Howard University. As principal investigator, her research article, "Information Seeking Strategies of Dental Hygienists,” was published in The Journal of Dental Education. In 2010 she was the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Enid A. Neidle Scholar-in Residence. She has served as Dental Hygiene Education Content Reviewer for Elsevier Textbooks; HUCD Liaison to the National Children’s Oral Health Foundation; Oral Heath Zone Coordinator/Howard University College of Dentistry (HUCD); Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Assessments (CETLA) Fellow for HUCD; Panelist, 1st Annual Teaching with Technology Conference; Facilitator for “Flipping Courses” at the 2016 College of Medicine Retreat/CETLA; and HU Teach Reviewer. Ms. Osborne has presented research posters at ADEA Annual Sessions; served as the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) State Education Network Representative for the District of Columbia; and Alternate Delegate for the District of Columbia Dental Hygienists’ Association (DCDHA). She is a member of ADEA, ADHA, and DCDHA. She serves as faculty advisor to the HU Student American Dental Hygienists’ Association and as course coordinator of:
