Biography

Mr. Frazier received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology Pre-Med from Niagara University, Associates in Applied Sciences Radiologic Technology degree from Erie Community College, and a Masters in Business Administration with a Healthcare Systems Management focus from DeSales University. As the Chair of the Radiation Therapy program, Mr. Frazier is accountable for providing leadership for ongoing program assessment and evaluation including accreditation, administrative tasks, oversight of the budget, faculty recruitment / hiring, and compliance with academic standards. Mr. Frazier joins the Howard University family with 16 years of clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist and has worked in student and staff mentorship at several prestigious academic institutions in the northeast. Mr. Frazier has functioned in an instructional capacity at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network as well as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  Mr. Frazier served as the Clinical Operations Manager of Radiation Oncology at Johns Hopkins Medicine / Sibley Memorial, in Washington, D.C., where he diligently operated the day-to-day functions of the department to include its educational, operational and financial components.  His specialties are designing instruction and continuing education components.  Mr. Frazier’s research interests include the assessment and treatment interventions of African Americans with respect to racial disparities, with submissions to American medical/professional journals for publication.

Imaging & Radiation Therapy

This course establishes a fundamental working knowledge base in factors that govern and influence the production and recording of radiographic images for patient simulation, treatment planning and treatment verification in Radiation Oncology.  Radiation Oncology imaging equipment and related devices are emphasized.
