Biography

Dr. Unger joined the faculty of Howard University in 2004 after completing his doctorate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) and teaching at the Asian Institute of Technology (A.I.T) in Thailand He has earned multiple teaching awards from both faculty and students for his dynamic teaching. Outside of Howard University, Dr. Unger is a Montgomery County Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician. He has also served as chair of the Montgomery County American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Progressive Neighbors, and as President of the Silver Spring Advisory Board. He lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with his wife and 3 children.Areas of expertise
