Biography
Ms. Michelle Armstrong is a DMV native. She brings 11 years of work experience to the COAS Office of the Dean. Prior to joining Howard University, Ms. Armstrong had first-hand opportunities to foster positive change in education as an Administrative Assistant in Prince George’s County Public Schools. She has a sustained ability to lead cross-sector and use efficient administrative practices and principles. She also brings an extensive experience building community, leading project management, and processing data for major projects. Her passion for others and her dedication to service contributed to her successful career in the medical field. In addition to being a Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Ms. Armstrong also served as a Senior Health Information Management Assistant at Kaiser Permanente, a Medical Administrative Assistant, and a Clinical Technician at Georgetown University Hospital. Ms. Armstrong is knowledgeable about the expectations and the work that goes into building positive professional relationships. She is eager to bring her innovative approaches, dedication, and professional practices to the Office of Academic Student Affairs. She looks forward to facilitating the administrative tasks needed to articulate and advance the Office of the Dean’s initiatives in proficient ways. Ms. Armstrong reports to Associate Dean Francis. She will implement office procedures and practices, coordinate logistics of the Office of ASA (projects, events, and meetings) and provide on-site guidance to the ASA’s stakeholders.
