I graduated from the University of L'Aquila (Italy) with a Master in Classical Philology and I received a PhD diploma from King's College London with a dissertation on "Pindar and the Presocratics". I am currently a Lecturer in “Humanities” (Pandemics in Ancient and Modern Literature: from Homer to Gabriel García Márquez) and “Ideas in Antiquity” (Ideas in the Presocratics) at Howard University in the Department of English. My fields of expertise and research are ancient Latin and Greek Languages and Literatures, Greek lyric poetry, early Greek philosophy, and Ancient Medicine.
