Biography

Dr. Sanjana Hossain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Howard University. Her research leverages econometric modeling and data science to analyze how travelers respond to emerging technologies, policy changes, and major disruptions. Her work translates these insights into data-driven and behaviorally informed strategies that advance transportation planning, operations, and safety. Dr. Hossain received her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto and completed postdoctoral fellowships at Northwestern University and the University of Toronto.
