Based in Washington, DC, Rashard Willingham is an adjunct professor in the Department of Architecture at Howard University and a Senior Architectural Designer at Shinberg Levinas Architects. The foundation of his passion for architectural discourse, youth outreach, and his engagement with the NOMA (The National Organization of Minority Architects) began at Howard University, where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree.
Rashard has dedicated the past 16 years of his career to practicing architecture and being active in leadership roles within professional organizations that focus on the advancement of the profession and investing in the future young architects. Rashard is also LEED accredited professional and member of NOMA and AIA.
Rashard’s vast experience consists of building types that include Sports & Entertainment, Commercial Office space, Multi-family Residential, and Civic and Community based projects. Rashard has served as the Vice President of DC Chapter of NOMA during the 2021-2023 term. He is also a regular visiting design juror for student final design projects at Howard University and has participated in resume and portfolio critiques at various Schools of Architecture within the Washington Metropolitan area.
