Biography
Patience Williams works as a full-time Lecturer at Howard University. Previously, she worked as a Lecturer of English for Academic Purposes in the Netherlands and was the recipient of a Fulbright at Breda University of Applied Sciences in North Brabant.
Williams has an MFA in fiction writing and a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma City University in English literature. Her creative nonfiction has been published in Amsterdam, Berlin, and the American Midwest. In 2025, her fiction is forthcoming in Grit and Gravity, a literary journal based in Washington DC, and also Washington Writers' Publishing House. Her work oftentimes explores themes of kindness and violence, and her research pertains to studies of writing for identity vs. writing for audience.
