Mike Farrell

Biography

Michael is a seasoned, motivated team leader and fundraising professional with experience in all levels of fundraising strategies, corporate partnerships, and targeted philanthropic events. He is adept at working with advisors, trustees, foundations, and community partners to maximize and strengthen relationships with donors and prospects, while always keeping an eye on driving positive bottom-line results.

Michael attended New York University and played varsity basketball all four years. After graduating from NYU, Michael began his career at McCann-Erickson on Madison Avenue. After spending several years in Manhattan working in the advertising, sales and marketing, Michael moved west to San Jose, CA in 2013 to join the San Jose Sharks (of the NHL) in their corporate partnerships department. Michael also worked for the San Francisco Giants, before moving to Texas where he worked for the University of North Texas in the Ryan College of Business as a Senior Director of Development. Most recently, Michael worked at Marymount University in the advancement department, first as a Sr. Director of Development and then as an Assistant Vice President for Advancement focusing on the priorities of the President and Provost.

Michael is also a two-time Ironman finisher, and former triathlon coach. He currently lives in Arlington, VA.
