Biography

Jacquelyne Pryor brings more than 15 years of experience in higher education finance, research administration, and operational leadership. She most recently served as the Assistant Director of Post Award at Howard University, where she supported the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and the Cancer Center. Her work strengthened financial oversight, improved forecasting accuracy, and enhanced reporting systems that supported faculty, staff, and senior leadership.

Prior to joining Howard’s Sponsored Projects Office, Jacquelyne served as the Department Manager for Finance, Administration, and Operations at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. There, she oversaw a research and academic portfolio exceeding $100 million and led initiatives that improved administrative efficiency, resource allocation, and long‑range planning.

A graduate of Hampton University (BA, Sociology) and the University of Maryland University College (MBA), Jacquelyne is recognized for her commitment to service, mentorship, and building strong administrative infrastructures that enable academic and creative excellence. Her leadership philosophy centers on transparency, collaboration, and empowering teams to thrive.

In her new role, Jacquelyne will work closely with the Dean, faculty, and University partners to strengthen the College’s financial sustainability, support operational growth, and advance the mission of one of Howard University’s most iconic academic units.
