Irene Henrich, PT, CHC joined Howard University in August of 2022. Irene is a licensed physical therapist and has over 25 years of clinical and executive leadership experience in various care settings. She has more than 10 years of healthcare compliance experience with a focus on regulatory compliance, privacy, quality assurance and process improvements. She has a certification in healthcare compliance and is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association.
Irene is a fervent champion of open and transparent engagement and collaboration with students, faculty, staff, patients and all relevant stakeholders to enhance a strong compliance culture here at Howard University. Her role as the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer focuses on a strategic workplan that enhances risk mitigation, quality assurance, accountability and enhancing the student and patient experience.
Outside of her work life here at Howard, Irene is a proud mom to an only daughter and a wife to an educator and author. She loves to travel, to look for the best food wherever she is and she loves summertime!
