Lifestyle Medicine

Lifestyle medicine is a fairly new field of medicine that focuses on preventing, treating, and sometime reversing chronic diseases with therapeutic doses of lifestyle interventions. Applying the six pillars of lifestyle medicine (predominantly whole food, plant-based nutrition, physical activity, stress management, restorative sleep, avoidance of risky/toxic substances and positive social connections) addresses the underlying causes of many chronic diseases, like type 2 diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune problems and obesity.

Dr. Bowman is a sought-after speaker and consultant for those wishing to learn to address the underlying causes of disease, so that we might be able to stop the progression of disease and discover new-found health by applying the pillars of lifestyle medicine. In particular, Dr. Bowman enjoys applying spirituality and mindset shifts to help people make and sustain significant lifestyle changes.
