Busra Agcayazi, Ph.D. is a tenure-track assistant professor at Howard University School of Business. She joined the university in the Fall of 2023, coming from NYU Stern School of Business. Her research primarily focuses on Mergers and Acquisitions, CEO Backgrounds, and Corporate Social Responsibility. Agcayazi's work has been recognized at prestigious conferences, including the American Economic Association (AEA), Financial Management Association (FMA), Midwest Finance Association (MFA), and Southern Finance Association (SFA).
At Howard University School of Business, Agcayazi teaches Principles of Finance and Financial Management. She is the recipient of the 2025 Excellence in Teaching Award from the Howard University School of Business. Her research has been published in the Journal of Banking & Finance and the British Accounting Review, with additional work under review and revision at leading finance and accounting journals.
