Biography

Dr. Arvin D. Sanders is a lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Howard University and a licensed clinical psychologist. He earned his PhD and MS in Clinical Psychology from Howard University and holds dual undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Biology from North Carolina Central University.

Dr. Sanders has extensive experience in clinical practice, research, and teaching. His clinical expertise includes working with diverse populations, particularly in psychotherapy and psychological assessment for children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on LGBTQIA+ mental health. His research interests explore psychological distress, health risk behaviors, and identity development in marginalized communities.
