Biography
Aida Albania Tristán is a Lecturer of Spanish in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at Howard University. Her professional interests include language teaching, instructional design, educational technology, and technology-enhanced learning. She integrates digital tools and innovative instructional strategies into her teaching to support student engagement and language learning. Her scholarly work focuses on instructional design, e-learning, and teaching and learning in higher education. She is currently completing doctoral studies in Education, with her dissertation in progress. She is a member of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).

El Diseño Instruccional (DI) para el aprendizaje en línea (e-learning) en la educación

This article introduces instructional design for online learning and examines key principles, models, and technological tools used to plan effective, learner-centered virtual courses. It discusses constructivism, connectivism, Gagné´s instructional theory, Bloom´s Taxonomy, the ADDIE model, multimedia principles, and the integration of pedagogical and technological resources to support effective online learning.
